Datalogic's OEM Magellan 3410VSi scanner is a high-performance benchtop imager scanner suitable for a variety of applications, including self-checkout, customer service kiosks, mobile reading of loyalty cards, coupons, tickets or boarding passes. With the same electronics and optics as the Magellan 3410VSi, the OEM scanner offers high performance and a large reading area in a small, easy-to-install package.
The OEM Magellan 3410VSi uses a high-performance megapixel sensor and custom optics to create a large reading area capable of reading at distances up to 20cm and with 1D scanning speeds up to 1.5m/s. Powerful decoding algorithms provide excellent performance on a variety of 1D and 2D codes, including hard-to-read, truncated, and damaged codes. The large read area, intuitive performance and motion tolerance of the OEM Magellan 3410VSi scanner make scanning easy and intuitive.
The smooth, comfortable illumination enables smooth reading of 1D and 2D barcodes from printed or moving sources, reducing glare and eliminating flicker that can cause user discomfort. While ScanSentry object detection does not read any bar codes, it also allows it to detect when a customer approaches the scanner or when an item passes through the field of view. This special feature can help improve the customer experience and manage the automated checkout more efficiently!
The integrated window allows the 3410VSi OEM unit to be mounted directly against a cabinet surface for minimal, sealed installation. The M3410VSi platform electronics allow the OEM to power itself from a single 5V USB connection, eliminating the need for an external power supply and making installation "plug and play." A configurable buzzer and external readout indicator on the host connection provide good readout feedback to both the user and the point of sale.
